Full details
The AeroCool P500A-WT is a white mid-tower PC case designed for PC builders seeking extensive control and a showcase for their components. Its key benefit lies in its excellent airflow potential and ease of maintenance, allowing for high-performance builds while keeping dust out. Troubleshooting
Case panels are difficult to remove.
Ensure you are not forcing the tool-free latches. Sometimes a slight wiggle or pressing in a specific direction can help release them. Check for any obstructions that might be preventing them from disengaging.
Poor internal airflow despite many fans installed.
Verify that fans are installed with the correct airflow direction (intake vs. exhaust). Ensure dust filters are clean and not clogged. Check that cables are managed neatly to avoid blocking fan paths.
Graphics card is sagging.
Adjust the position of the included GPU support bracket to firmly hold the graphics card. Ensure the bracket is securely fastened to the case.
Smudges or fingerprints on glass panels.
Use a microfiber cloth and a glass cleaner suitable for tempered glass. For best results, clean when the case is at room temperature. Avoid spraying cleaner directly onto the glass; spray onto the cloth first.
Pros and Cons
Pros
- Excellent airflow potential with support for numerous fans.
- Easy access for building and maintenance due to tool-free panels.
- Integrated GPU support bracket prevents graphics card sag.
- Dust filters throughout the case simplify cleaning and component protection.
- Aesthetic appeal with dual curved glass panels and hidden cable management.
Cons
- Dual curved glass panels may require careful handling during installation and transport.
- Mid-tower size might be limiting for extremely large custom water-cooling loops.
- White color may show dust and smudges more readily than darker colors.
- While tool-free, some component installations might still benefit from basic tools for precision.
Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup: Begin by removing all side panels using the tool-free latches. Install your motherboard, CPU, RAM, and GPU, utilizing the hidden cable management channels for routing wires. Mount your power supply in the designated shroud area. Install storage drives in the appropriate bays. Connect all internal cables to the motherboard and components. Finally, attach your cooling fans and radiators, ensuring proper airflow direction. Secure the tool-free panels back into place.
Compatibility: The P500A supports ATX, Micro-ATX, and Mini-ITX motherboards. It accommodates CPU coolers up to 164mm in height and graphics cards up to 410mm in length. PSU length support is typically up to 180mm. It includes standard front I/O ports (USB, audio).
Care: To maintain the pristine look and optimal airflow, regularly clean the removable dust filters. Use a soft, dry or slightly damp cloth to wipe down the glass panels and the exterior chassis. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or solvents. Periodically check that all fans are spinning freely and that no obstructions are present in the airflow path.
