FAQs
Is this rug safe for a newborn?
Yes, it is certified to OEKO-TEX Standard 100, which means it has been tested for harmful substances.
Can I use this on a carpeted floor?
Yes, the rug can be used on top of existing carpets, though a non-slip rug pad is recommended to prevent movement.
How do I remove a liquid spill?
Blot the spill immediately with a clean, damp cloth. Do not rub the area, as this can push the liquid deeper into the pile.
Is this rug machine washable?
No, this rug is intended for surface vacuuming and spot cleaning with a damp cloth only.
Does the rug come in other sizes?
Yes, other sizes are available, such as 120cm x 170cm and 160cm x 230cm, depending on your room space.
Troubleshooting
Rug edges are curling after unboxing
Lay the rug flat and place heavy objects like books on the corners for 24-48 hours until the material settles.
Visible lint or shedding
It is normal for new rugs to shed slightly; vacuum regularly on a low setting to remove loose fibers until the shedding stops.
Pros and Cons
Pros
- Certified safe and free from harmful chemicals
- Soft, plush texture ideal for infants and toddlers
- Sturdy construction helps retain shape
- Easy to clean with regular vacuuming
Cons
- Light background may show dirt more easily
- Square 160cm dimensions may not fit all room shapes
- Requires spot cleaning for specific spills
Setup, Compatibility & Care
To set up your rug, unroll it in the desired location and allow it to lie flat for several hours to relax the fibers after shipping. If the corners lift, you can place a flat, heavy weight on them temporarily.
Care Instructions:
- Vacuuming: Use a standard vacuum cleaner on a low-suction setting to remove surface dust and debris.
- Spot Cleaning: Address spills immediately by dabbing with a clean, damp cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals that may damage the fibers or backing.
- Maintenance: Rotate the rug every few months to ensure even wear across the surface, especially if it is placed in an area with direct sunlight or heavy foot traffic.
