Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup
The Kensington Luxury Panelled Bed Frame requires assembly upon delivery. We recommend having two people for easier and quicker setup. Plan for adequate space to unpack and assemble.
- Unpack Components: Carefully unpack all parts and check against the included instructions to ensure you have all necessary hardware. > Info needed: [List of expected parts and tools should be provided in the product manual.]
- Assemble Headboard: The 70-inch headboard comes in two parts for easier maneuverability. Attach these sections together securely before mounting them to the side rails.
- Attach Side Rails and Footboard: Connect the side rails to both the headboard and the 24-inch footboard using the provided fasteners. Ensure all connections are finger-tight initially.
- Install Slats: Carefully place and secure the strong wooden slats across the bed frame. Ensure they are evenly spaced and firmly attached to provide optimal mattress support.
- Final Tightening: Once all parts are in place, go back and securely tighten all bolts and screws. Do not overtighten, as this can damage components.
- Final Check: Double-check all connections to ensure they are tight and stable. Make sure the frame is level.
> Info needed: [Detailed assembly instructions and diagrams should be included with the product.]
Compatibility
- Mattress: This product is a bed frame *only*. It is designed to be compatible with standard mattress sizes. > Info needed: [Specify exact mattress sizes supported, e.g., UK King, US Queen, etc., in the product specifications.]
- Decor: Its silver colour and contemporary design allow it to blend seamlessly with a wide range of interior decor styles, from minimalist to glamorous. It serves as a versatile anchor for various colour schemes.
- Bedroom Space: Given the 70-inch headboard height, ensure your bedroom has adequate vertical space, especially if positioning under windows or low ceilings. Measure your space before assembly.
Care
Proper care will help maintain the luxurious appearance and longevity of your bed frame.
- Regular Dusting: Use a soft, dry cloth or a vacuum cleaner with a brush attachment to gently remove dust from the fabric upholstery on a weekly basis.
- Spot Cleaning: For spills or marks, lightly dampen a clean, soft cloth with water and a mild fabric cleaner (always test in an inconspicuous area first). Gently blot the stain from the outside in; do not rub vigorously, as this can spread the stain or damage the fabric.
- Avoid Harsh Chemicals: Do not use abrasive cleaners, strong detergents, bleach, or solvents, as these can discolour or damage the fabric.
- Sunlight Protection: Position the bed frame away from direct, prolonged sunlight to prevent potential fading of the fabric over time.
- Accidental Damage: Promptly address any tears or snags in the fabric to prevent them from worsening.
> Info needed: [Specific fabric type and recommended cleaning products/methods should be detailed by the manufacturer.]
