Setup, Compatibility & Care
To achieve the best seal, slide the tubing over your barbed fitting; if the fit is particularly tight, submerge the end of the tube in hot (not boiling) water for 30 seconds to soften the PVC. Always secure the connection with a worm-gear clamp to ensure the tubing does not slip off under pressure. For maintenance, flush the line periodically with a mild food-safe sanitizing solution to prevent mineral or biological buildup. Store the tubing away from extreme UV exposure to maintain material pliability over time. To cut the hose, use a sharp pipe cutter or a utility knife to ensure the edge is square and free of jagged burrs that could compromise a seal.
