Setup, Compatibility & Care
Installation requires a drill, a screwdriver, and a measuring tape. First, align the hasp and staple on your door and frame, ensuring the hinge moves freely and the staple allows the padlock shackle to pass through easily. Mark the screw holes with a pencil, pilot drill if necessary, and secure the unit using the included screws. For maximum longevity, consider applying a light coat of anti-corrosion spray if you live in a coastal area with high salt exposure. Periodically check that the screws remain tight, especially if the unit is installed on a gate subjected to frequent vibrations.
