Troubleshooting

Hood not turning on

Check that the appliance is properly connected to the power supply. Ensure the circuit breaker is not tripped. Verify that the touch control panel is clean and dry.

Reduced extraction power

Clean or replace the grease filters. Check for any blockages in the ducting if installed for ducted extraction. Ensure the fan speed is set appropriately for the cooking activity.

Hood making excessive noise

Ensure all filters are correctly installed. Check if any external parts of the hood or surrounding cabinetry are vibrating. Make sure no objects are obstructing the fan blades (requires professional inspection).

Home Connect not working

Verify your home Wi-Fi is working and the hood is within range. Restart your router and the hood. Ensure you are using the latest version of the Home Connect app and have correctly logged in.

Lights not working

Check the power supply to the hood. If the LEDs have failed, they may require replacement by a qualified service technician.

Setup, Compatibility & Care

Setup:

This is an integrated design hood, meaning it is designed to be built directly into a wall cabinet above your hob. Professional installation is highly recommended to ensure proper fitment and ventilation. The duct size required is 150mm, and it can be installed for ducted or recirculating extraction, depending on your kitchen's setup.

Compatibility:

For the Hob-Based Hood Control feature, this extractor must be paired with compatible Bosch hobs. Smart features require a stable Wi-Fi connection and the Bosch Home Connect app installed on a compatible smartphone or tablet.

Care:

  • Exterior: Clean the matt black and glass surfaces with a soft, damp cloth and mild detergent. Avoid abrasive cleaners or solvents.
  • Grease Filters: The metal grease filters should be removed and cleaned regularly (e.g., monthly or when indicated by the appliance) to maintain optimal performance. They are typically dishwasher safe; check your specific manual for instructions.
  • Lighting: The LED lights are designed for longevity but can be replaced if necessary by a qualified technician.
  • Ventilation: Ensure the air vents are not obstructed to maintain efficient extraction.
