Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup: Before placing the Sydeco Aquarium Plant into your tank, it is crucial to rinse it thoroughly under cool, running tap water. This removes any manufacturing dust or residues. Once rinsed, simply place the weighted base onto the substrate or anchor it securely in a decorative element within your aquarium. Ensure the plant is positioned where it can sway freely with the water current without obstructing filtration intakes or outflows.
Compatibility: These plants are designed for use in both freshwater and saltwater aquariums. They are made from inert materials that will not affect water parameters such as pH, ammonia, or salinity. They are safe for all types of fish, invertebrates, and reptiles commonly kept in aquariums.
Care: To maintain the appearance of your Sydeco plant, periodic cleaning may be necessary. If algae or debris accumulates, gently remove the plant from the tank and wipe it down with a soft cloth or sponge under cool water. Avoid using any soaps, detergents, or chemical cleaners, as these can be toxic to aquatic life. Allow the plant to air dry or gently pat it dry before returning it to the aquarium. The swaying motion in the tank helps to naturally keep the plant clean.
