FAQs

Can I use this with micro-pellets?

No, the Hexmesh aperture is too wide for very small pellets or maggots. You should use the standard Korda Funnel Web micro-mesh for those baits.

Does this work in cold water?

Yes, it is designed to work in various water temperatures, though it will dissolve slightly slower in near-freezing conditions.

How do I store the refill?

Keep it in the original packaging or an airtight container in a dry environment to prevent premature degradation.

Is this compatible with other brands of PVA loaders?

The refill is designed specifically for the Korda Funnel Web System. Performance with other brands cannot be guaranteed.

How many bags can I get from one 20m spool?

The number of bags depends on the size of each parcel, but typically you can expect to create 60 to 100 individual bait parcels.

Troubleshooting

PVA material dissolving too fast during the cast

Ensure the bag is wrapped tightly and double-knot the ends to minimize exposure to surface moisture.

Mesh tearing while loading large boilies

Use the provided plunger tool gently and ensure you are not overstuffing the mesh beyond its expansion capacity.

Bag not sinking correctly

Ensure all air is squeezed out of the PVA parcel before tying it shut, as trapped air will cause the parcel to float.

Pros and Cons

Pros

Large 20m capacity lasts for many fishing sessions
Hexmesh design allows for faster bait dispersal in water
Compatible with a wide range of large bait types
Environmentally friendly breakdown properties

Cons

Requires the Korda Funnel Web System for proper application
Not suitable for small micro-pellets or maggots
PVA material is sensitive to moisture during storage

Setup, Compatibility & Care

To install, remove the cap from your existing Korda Funnel Web tube and slide the refill spool onto the inner chamber according to your specific dispenser model instructions. Ensure the mesh is fed through the tube without twisting. For care, always store the spool in a cool, dry place inside a sealed bag or airtight container; PVA is water-soluble and will begin to degrade if exposed to damp air or humidity. Keep the spool away from direct sunlight to prevent the material from becoming brittle.
