No, the bed frame features built-in wooden sprung slats designed to support your mattress directly without the need for a box spring.
We recommend vacuuming regularly and spot-cleaning with a gentle, fabric-safe upholstery cleaner. Avoid harsh chemicals that may discolor the beige material.
This frame is designed to be a standalone unit. It is not compatible with most motorized adjustable bases unless the internal dimensions match perfectly.
The heavy-duty steel frame is engineered for high durability, though it is always best practice to distribute weight evenly and avoid exceeding the recommended load capacity for the size.
The frame comes with the necessary hardware; however, having your own screwdriver or hex key set on hand can speed up the assembly process.
Check that all bolts are fully tightened. Ensure the anti-slip tape is clean and properly aligned under the mattress, as debris can cause friction noises.
Verify that the anti-slip tape on the wooden slats is free of dust, and ensure the mattress is centered correctly on the frame.
Ensure that the headboard attachment bolts are tightened to the correct height setting and that the washers provided are in place to distribute pressure evenly.
Assembly requires a clear space and the use of the provided metal fixings; it is recommended to have two people present to align the side rails with the headboard and footboard correctly. Ensure all bolts are hand-tightened before performing a final tightening with tools to prevent frame misalignment.
For compatibility, the frame supports standard mattress sizes, but always verify your specific mattress dimensions against the frame size. To maintain the beige upholstery, use a fabric protector spray upon initial assembly and vacuum the headboard regularly with an upholstery attachment to prevent dust build-up. Spot clean any liquid spills immediately with a mild, water-based detergent.
