FAQs
What is the weight capacity of the coat hooks?
While lightweight, the hooks are designed for standard daily outerwear, bags, and scarves. Avoid hanging extremely heavy winter gear or wet items that exceed the structural integrity of the mounting.
Can the shoe rack be stacked?
No, the Decortie Roya is designed as a two-piece set to be used as specified; stacking is not recommended.
Is the black finish prone to rusting?
The set is made from powder-coated metal, which is rust-resistant, but you should wipe off excess water from very wet shoes before placing them on the grid to ensure longevity.
Does the set come with a warranty?
Yes, the Decortie Roya Hall Set is backed by a two-year guarantee.
Can I install the rack on a thin partition wall?
It is recommended to install the rail on a solid wall or into studs for stability, as partition walls may require additional reinforcements to support the weight of loaded coat hooks.
Troubleshooting
Hooks are sliding too easily on the rail
Check the rail mounting points to ensure the unit is perfectly level; if the rail is tilted, gravity will cause the hooks to slide to the lowest point.
Unit feels unstable after mounting
Verify that all screws are fully tightened and ensure that the anchors used are appropriate for your specific wall material.
Pros and Cons
Pros
- Lightweight at only 6kg for easy handling
- Adjustable hooks offer flexible storage options
- Open-grid design prevents moisture buildup in footwear

- Compact footprint perfect for small hallways
Cons
- Not suitable for extremely heavy garments
- Limited to two levels of shoe storage
- Open-grid style shows all footwear, which may appear cluttered if not organized
Setup, Compatibility & Care
Assembly: The set is designed for self-assembly and includes all necessary tools and wall fixings in the package. Ensure you check your wall type (e.g., drywall, brick, or concrete) before beginning, as you may require specific wall plugs if the provided fixings are not compatible with your wall surface.
Compatibility: Its minimalist black finish is versatile, matching both industrial and modern home decor styles. Due to its weight limit, verify that you are anchoring the rail securely into studs where possible.
Care: To maintain the appearance of the powder-coated finish, wipe down the metal surfaces regularly with a damp, soft cloth. Avoid using harsh chemical cleaners or abrasive sponges that could scratch the black finish. For deep cleaning, remove the shoes and wipe the grid with a non-abrasive detergent.
