Pros and Cons

Pros

  • Significant storage expansion (up to 5TB)
  • Compact, travel-friendly design
  • Sturdy build quality for gaming on the move
  • Simple plug-and-play installation

Cons

  • Slower load times compared to SSDs

  • Not suitable for high-speed direct-to-console gaming on latest generation systems

Setup, Compatibility & Care

To begin using the WD_BLACK P10, simply connect the provided USB Type-A to Micro-B cable to your device's USB port. Most consoles will automatically detect the drive and prompt you to format it for game storage. For optimal care, avoid dropping the drive, as it contains moving mechanical parts. Keep the USB port area free of debris and store the device in a cool, dry place when not in use. Always use the 'Safely Remove' feature on your PC before disconnecting to prevent file corruption.
