Product Information
Full details
The Faithfull Bassine Platform Broom Head is an ideal choice for caretakers, builders, and homeowners looking for a heavy-duty tool to clear debris in dry environments. Featuring robust natural palm leaf fibers, it offers excellent sweeping performance on workshop floors, patios, and construction sites; however, users should be aware that the natural fibers are susceptible to distortion and damage if exposed to wet conditions.

FAQs
Does this broom head come with a handle?
No, this is a replacement broom head only. Handles must be purchased separately.
Can I use this broom on wet surfaces?
No, natural Bassine fibers will distort and potentially rot if exposed to water.
What is the diameter of the broom socket?
The socket has a diameter of 28mm.
What handle sizes are compatible?
It is compatible with Faithfull handles in lengths of 1.22M, 1.37M, 1.52M, and 1.83M.
Is this broom suitable for indoor use?
It is ideal for workshops, garages, and sheds, but the stiff fibers may be too abrasive for indoor residential hardwood or tiled floors.
How should I store the broom?
Store the broom head in a dry, covered area, preferably hanging up so the weight is not resting on the bristles.
Troubleshooting
The broom head wobbles on the handle
Ensure the handle is fully inserted into the socket. If the handle has worn down, use a wood screw to secure the head to the handle for a permanent fit.
Bristles are bending or misshapen
The broom has likely been exposed to moisture or stored standing on its bristles. Store the broom hanging up or head-up to preserve the shape of the fibers.
Pros and Cons
Pros
- Wide 600mm sweeping head for fast cleanup
- Stiff natural fibers effectively move heavy debris
- Compatible with multiple Faithfull handle lengths
- Sturdy construction for regular professional use
Cons
- Not suitable for use in wet or damp environments
- Natural fibers may distort if left in standing water
- Handle sold separately
Setup, Compatibility & Care
To assemble, simply insert your chosen Faithfull handle into the 28mm socket and secure it firmly. The broom head is compatible with the following Faithfull handle models: `FAIRH48118` (1.22M), `FAIRH54118` (1.37M), `FAIRH60118` (1.52M), and `FAIRH72118` (1.83M). For maintenance, ensure the broom is stored in a dry location after every use. Do not use the broom to sweep wet concrete, spilled liquids, or muddy outdoor areas during rain, as moisture will cause the natural fibers to soften, warp, and eventually rot.
