FAQs

Can I use this cistern with any flush button?

This unit is designed for use with Dudley compatible flush buttons, plates, or sensors that utilize the air-tube actuation system.

Is the flush volume adjustable?

Yes, the cistern can be adjusted from the factory 6/4 litre setting down to 5/3 or 4/2.6 litre settings for maximum water efficiency.

Do I need to cut into my vanity top to service this?

No, the Vantage features top and front access panels specifically designed to allow maintenance without damaging vanity surfaces or tiles.

How far away can I place the flush button?

The air-tube technology allows for a maximum distance of 750mm between the cistern and the activation button.

Is this product WRAS approved?

Yes, the internal flushing and inlet valves are WRAS approved, ensuring they meet the required plumbing standards.

Troubleshooting

The flush button does not trigger the cistern

Check the air tubes for kinks or disconnection. Ensure the tubing is securely attached to both the button and the valve bellows.

Water continues to run into the toilet bowl

Debris may be stuck in the flushing valve seat. Remove the valve through the access panel and rinse the seals.

Cistern is slow to refill

Check the isolation valve to ensure it is fully open and inspect the Hydroflo inlet valve for limescale buildup.

Pros and Cons

Pros

Adjustable flush volumes for improved water conservation
Quiet operation through the Hydroflo inlet valve
Flexible activation placement via air-tube technology
Easy access for future servicing through front/top panels
Suitable for compact vanity units and partitioning

Cons

Requires professional plumbing knowledge to install correctly
Air tubes must be handled carefully to avoid kinks
Internal parts may be more difficult to source than standard lever-handle components

Setup, Compatibility & Care

To install, ensure the enclosure dimensions meet the minimum 500mm x 200mm x 800mm clearance. The cistern comes with a push-fit water inlet elbow and a flushbend to simplify connection to the pan. For care, keep the interior free of debris during installation to protect the inlet valve diaphragm. Periodically check the air tubes to ensure they are not compressed or kinked, as this will prevent the button from triggering the flush valve. If maintenance is required, use the top or front access panel to lift out the flushing valve for inspection or descaling.
