FAQs

What size bin liner should I use?

This Brabantia Touch Bin Flat Lid 30L is designed for Brabantia PerfectFit bin liners, code G. A sample pack is usually included with the bin.

How do I clean the matt black finish?

Wipe the exterior with a soft, damp cloth. For tougher marks, use a mild detergent and rinse with a damp cloth. Always dry with a soft cloth to prevent water spots or streaks.

Is the soft-touch mechanism noisy?

The soft-touch mechanism is designed for quiet and smooth operation, opening with a light tap. While not completely silent, it is significantly quieter than standard pedal bins.

Can I use this bin outdoors?

No, this bin is designed for indoor use only. Exposure to outdoor elements can damage the materials and finish.

What is the warranty period for this bin?

Brabantia offers a 10-year guarantee on this Touch Bin, reflecting its quality and durability.

How do I clean the inner bucket?

The inner bucket is removable. You can wash it with warm, soapy water, rinse thoroughly, and let it air dry or dry it with a cloth before placing it back in the outer bin.

Does the flat lid make a significant difference in space saving?

Yes, the flat lid is designed to sit flush against walls or cabinet fronts, allowing you to place the bin in tighter spaces or under countertops where a traditional curved lid might not fit.

Troubleshooting

Lid does not open smoothly.

Check for any obstructions around the lid mechanism. Ensure the inner bucket is correctly seated and not overflowing. Gently clean the lid area with a damp cloth.

Bin feels unstable or rocks.

Ensure the bin is placed on a flat, level surface. Check that the protective rim is intact and properly fitted.

Inner bucket is difficult to remove or insert.

Make sure you are using the correct size bin liner that fits snugly within the inner bucket without bunching up. Ensure the inner bucket is clean and free of debris.

Exterior finish appears smudged or dull.

Clean the exterior with a soft, damp cloth and a mild, non-abrasive cleaner. Dry thoroughly with a soft cloth to avoid streaks.
