Setup, Compatibility & Care
To begin, ensure your surface is clean, dry, and free of wax or grease. Use a high-quality degreaser before application. The 2:1 mixing ratio must be strictly followed; use a calibrated mixing cup to ensure accuracy. If you are using an HVLP spray gun, set the air pressure according to the gun manufacturer's specifications for high-solids coatings to ensure proper atomization. Once the clear coat is applied, allow it to cure in a dust-free area. Avoid washing the vehicle with harsh chemicals for at least 48 to 72 hours post-application to allow for a full chemical cure. Always store the remaining hardener in a cool, dry place with the lid tightly sealed, as moisture exposure will cause the hardener to crystallize and become unusable.
