Product Information

Full details

Angelica gigas is a tall, robust perennial with deep green, fern-like leaves that form a full, textured base. In late summer, it produces large, globe-shaped flower heads in shades of rich purple, creating a bold and eye-catching feature in any garden or container. Its upright stems and dramatic blooms make it both an ornamental and functional plant, adding height and structure while also offering traditional herbal uses. Also known as Purple Angelica, this hardy plant thrives in rich, well-draining soil with partial shade to full sun. Keep the soil evenly moist, especially during dry spells, and protect it from strong winds to prevent damage to its tall stems. Removing older leaves as needed encourages fresh growth and helps maintain the plant’s striking appearance. With only a little consistent care, Angelica gigas will continue to flourish year after year, providing both visual interest and herbal value in your garden. Please Note: When purchasing plants, please consider that each live item is unique and may therefore differ from the images shown, which are for illustration purposes only. The plant will be supplied in a growers pot. Depending on season, some plants may be pruned back to encourage growth and deciduous plants may arrive without leaves. Add a touch of dramatic elegance to your garden with Angelica gigas, a stunning perennial known for its tall, sturdy stems and deep purple, globe-shaped flower heads. Its large, dark green, fern-like leaves create a lush, architectural base that makes the vibrant blooms really pop.
