Setup, Compatibility & Care
Planting: Choose a warm, sunny location in your garden with well-drained soil. If planting in the ground, ensure the soil is not heavy or waterlogged. For containers, use a gritty potting medium and a pot at least 15cm (6in) in diameter. Water thoroughly after planting.
Care: Water regularly, allowing the soil to dry out slightly between waterings. Avoid overwatering, especially in cooler months, to prevent root rot. Prune lightly after flowering to maintain shape and encourage bushier growth. In colder climates, it may benefit from winter protection if grown outdoors.
Compatibility: Suitable for most garden soil types provided drainage is excellent. Grows well in pots, planters, and hanging baskets. It complements other sun-loving herbs and drought-tolerant plants.
