Product Information

Full details

The Garden Pride Trug Trolley is an essential utility tool for gardeners who frequently move heavy loads, such as soil, compost, water, or tools, across varied landscapes. It features a unique self-levelling system that ensures liquid or loose contents remain upright during transport, significantly reducing spills and mess. While it offers exceptional versatility and portability with its foldable frame, users should note that the maximum load capacity is dictated by the dimensions of the included 45-litre trug, which may limit the transport of extremely bulky landscaping materials.

FAQs

Can I use other containers with this trolley?

The trolley is specifically designed for the included 45-litre trug. While other containers might physically fit, the self-levelling mechanism works best with the proprietary trug design.

Is the trolley weather-resistant?

Yes, it is designed for garden use, but we recommend storing it indoors or in a dry shed to prolong the life of the frame and finish.

How much weight can it hold?

The trolley is designed to support the weight of a full 45-litre trug filled with standard garden materials like compost or water.

Does the trolley require air for the tires?

No, the wheels are puncture-proof and do not require inflation.

Are the measurement markings accurate?

Yes, the markings are molded into the trug for standard liquid and dry volume measurements in both litres and gallons.

Troubleshooting

Trolley feels unstable during movement

Check that the trug is centered correctly in the cradle and the self-levelling pivot point is not obstructed by debris.

Difficulty folding the frame

Ensure all pins and locking mechanisms are fully disengaged, and check for any pebbles or dirt lodged in the hinge joints.

Wheels are not rotating smoothly

Remove the wheels and clean the axle of any tangled grass, hair, or packed mud, then re-seat them.

Pros and Cons

Pros

Prevents spills during transport with self-levelling technology
Easy to store thanks to the flat-folding frame
Includes a high-capacity 45-litre measuring trug
Smooth movement on diverse terrain with puncture-proof wheels

Cons

Load capacity is limited by the provided 45-litre trug
Not suitable for heavy-duty construction debris or large rocks
Requires manual assembly for initial setup

Setup, Compatibility & Care

To assemble the trolley, follow the included hardware instructions to attach the wheel assembly to the base frame. Once assembled, the trug fits securely into the frame's cradle. For maintenance, wipe the frame with a dry cloth after use to remove excess soil or moisture, and ensure the pivot points of the folding mechanism remain free of debris to maintain smooth operation. The trug itself is weather-resistant and can be rinsed with a hose, but it should be kept out of direct, prolonged UV exposure when stored for long periods to maintain the integrity of the plastic.
