To achieve the best fit, ensure the rug is positioned so that the neck seam sits comfortably in front of the wither. Adjust the quick-clip chest fastenings first to ensure the rug does not gap at the front. The leg straps should be adjusted so they are snug but not tight, preventing the horse from stepping over them.
Maintenance should involve brushing off dried mud regularly to maintain the breathability of the fabric. To wash, use a professional horse rug cleaning service or a gentle cycle with a specialized rug wash. Always re-proof the fabric if you notice the water beading properties beginning to fade after heavy seasonal use.
