Yes, the set typically includes the necessary batteries for the pen to function right out of the box.
The notebook is bound into the diary cover, so it is not designed to be swapped out for a refill.
The magic ink is designed to disappear and reappear under the LED light; it is not intended for long-term document archiving.
The set includes a matching key to operate the padlock closure.
It is generally recommended for children who can manage the small parts, such as the key and batteries, safely.
Ensure you are holding the LED light close to the surface and are in a dimly lit environment for the best contrast.
Check if the batteries are seated correctly or replace them with the correct size required for the pen mechanism.
Ensure the key is fully inserted and aligned before attempting to turn it; avoid forcing the lock to prevent damaging the diary spine.
Setting up the diary is straightforward: ensure the magic pen has fresh batteries if the LED light appears dim. The notebook uses standard paper, so it is compatible with most standard ink pens or pencils if the user chooses to write normally alongside their secret notes. To care for your diary, keep it in a cool, dry place to prevent the paper from warping. Clean the cover with a soft, dry cloth if it gets dusty, and ensure the keys are kept in a safe place, as the lock is specific to the included set.
