Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup:
- Ensure your dust collector system is powered off and disconnected from the power source.
- Locate the existing dust collection bag or filter on your unit.
- Carefully remove the old bag, being mindful of any residual dust.
- Align the POWERTEC 70333 bag with the intake port of your dust collector.
- Secure the bag firmly to the collector's flange or connection point, ensuring a tight seal to prevent leaks. Most systems use a clamp or a snug fit.
Compatibility:
This bag is designed to fit most dust collector systems with a drum or housing diameter between 18 inches and 20 inches. It is compatible with brands such as JET, Grizzly, Shop Fox, Harbor Freight, and WEN. Always verify your dust collector's dimensions before purchasing.
Care:
- Emptying: Regularly empty the bag when it is about two-thirds full to maintain optimal airflow and prevent strain on your dust collector.
- Cleaning: To clean, carefully detach the bag and shake out the contents outdoors. For a deeper clean, use a damp cloth or a soft brush. Avoid using water to wash the bag, as this can damage the material and affect its filtering capabilities.
- Inspection: Periodically inspect the bag for any tears or damage. Replace the bag if significant wear or damage is observed to maintain filtration efficiency.
