The Monument 1808O Copper Pipe Cutter is a professional-grade precision tool designed specifically for plumbers, heating engineers, and serious DIY enthusiasts working with 8mm copper tubing. Its primary benefit is the ability to deliver perfectly clean, square cuts in tight, restricted spaces where traditional adjustable pipe cutters cannot fit, though users must note that it is strictly limited to 8mm copper pipes and cannot be adjusted for other diameters.

No, this tool is designed for copper and will not cut plastic pipe effectively.
Ensure the tool is fully seated around the pipe before you begin rotating. The fixed design naturally guides the cut if kept perpendicular to the pipe.
Check if the pipe is definitely 8mm. Ensure you are applying firm, consistent pressure against the pipe surface while rotating.
Ensure the tool is fully snapped onto the pipe and held perpendicular to the pipe run throughout the entire rotation.
Clean the cutting wheel and the internal mechanism of any debris. A light application of machine oil can also help.
This tool requires no formal assembly; it is ready for use out of the packaging. It is strictly compatible with 8mm copper tubing only. Attempting to use it on larger pipe sizes or harder materials like stainless steel can damage the cutting wheel and the frame.
