Product Information

Full details

A blend of Kapok and Semper Seal with Ice Dubbing for flash and UV. This dubbing is known for its exceptional buoyancy, making it ideal for dry flies and nymphs. Kapok, a natural hollow fibre, provides floatability and fine profiles, while SemperSeal adds spikiness and Ice Dubbing provides flash. It is finer than superfine dubbing, offering perfect definition on small flies. Kapok is moisture-resistant, quick-drying, resilient, and buoyant, weighing only one-eighth as much as cotton. Historically used in life jackets and lifeboats, it can support up to 30 times its own weight in water. Semperfli has developed a unique dying process to achieve repeatable colours. Kapok Fusion Dubbing is available in a range of natural and earthy colours, including Adams, Black, March Brown, Olive Dun, and Pale Blue Dun.
