Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup:
- Ensure the area to be repaired on the drysuit sock is clean, dry, and free from grease or dirt.
- Prepare the new latex sock, trimming if necessary for a precise fit.
- Apply a thin, even layer of Stormoprene Contact Adhesive to both surfaces (the drysuit sock area and the new latex sock) using the applicator. Allow to become tacky (usually 5-10 minutes, depending on temperature and humidity).
- Carefully press the two surfaces together, ensuring correct alignment. Apply firm pressure, working from the center outwards to expel any trapped air bubbles.
- For best results, allow the repair to cure for at least 24 hours in a dry environment before use. Avoid stretching or stressing the repaired area during the curing period.
Compatibility:
This kit is designed for use with most standard drysuit latex socks and materials. The Stormoprene adhesive is formulated to bond effectively with rubber, neoprene, and other synthetic materials common in watersports gear.
Care:
After a repair, clean the drysuit as per its manufacturer's instructions, taking care not to abrade the repaired area. Store the drysuit in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
