FAQs

What size is the Luna Siesta Ottoman bed?

This specific model is a 4Ft Small Double, making it perfect for smaller bedrooms.

Is the mattress included?

Yes, this unit comes with a 17cm thick economy spring mattress.

Can I use a different mattress with this bed?

Yes, the ottoman mechanism is compatible with most standard mattresses, provided they fit the Small Double frame dimensions.

How do I clean the faux leather?

Use a soft, damp cloth with mild soap if necessary. Avoid harsh chemicals and keep the material out of direct, prolonged sunlight.

Is the bed difficult to assemble?

The bed is designed for a straightforward assembly, though we recommend two people for safety and easier alignment of the metal frame parts.

Troubleshooting

The ottoman base feels heavy to lift

Check that the mattress is centered on the base and that there is no debris blocking the gas-lift pistons.

The frame wobbles or squeaks

Re-tighten all bolts and fasteners across the metal frame to ensure the structure is rigid.

Dust is entering the storage area

Ensure the fabric dust cover is pulled taut and properly attached to the base frame.

Pros and Cons

Pros

Maximizes bedroom floor space through hidden storage
Gas-lift mechanism allows for easy one-handed operation
Sophisticated beige finish complements various interior styles
Includes a protective base to keep items dust-free
Straightforward assembly process

Cons

The economy mattress may not be supportive enough for daily, long-term use
Faux leather requires specific cleaning agents to avoid damage
Requires clearance around the sides for the lift mechanism to function optimally

Setup, Compatibility & Care

Assembly of the Luna Siesta should be completed with two people to ensure the metal frame is aligned correctly during construction. Ensure that the bed is placed on a level surface to allow the gas-lift mechanism to operate smoothly without catching. To maintain the faux leather exterior, simply wipe down with a soft, slightly damp cloth; avoid abrasive cleaners or harsh chemicals that could cause the material to crack over time. The included mattress should be rotated occasionally to ensure even wear across the spring system.
