Yes, the fine mesh filter is effective for most medium-to-large leaf teas.
Pour warm milk into the carafe, place the lid on, and pump the plunger vigorously for 20-30 seconds until the foam doubles in volume.
The product features a high-quality durable construction designed to be heat-retaining and rust-proof.
It serves approximately 2 standard coffee mugs or 3 smaller teacups.
Supermarket coffee is often ground for drip machines (medium-fine). For best results, look for coarse-ground coffee specifically marked for French Press.
No, this is a manual brewing device and requires no electrical power.
Your coffee grind is likely too fine. Ensure you use a coarse grind setting to allow the water to pass through the filter easily.
Reduce your steeping time by 30 seconds or ensure you are pouring the coffee into mugs immediately after plunging.
Check the edges of the filter screen for any loose wires or gaps, and ensure the filter plate is fully tightened against the base.
To ensure the longevity of your B&Q French Press, always verify that the mesh filter is tightly secured to the plunger rod before first use. While the unit is dishwasher safe, hand washing the filter screen with warm soapy water is recommended to remove trapped oils that can turn rancid over time. Avoid using abrasive sponges on the silver exterior to keep it scratch-free. When brewing tea, ensure the water temperature matches the specific leaf type to avoid bitterness.
