Product Information

Full details

The LPD Flush Internal Door is an excellent solution for homeowners and renovators seeking a clean, minimalist aesthetic for their living spaces, bedrooms, or bathrooms. Its primary benefit lies in its lightweight, hollow-core construction and pre-primed white finish, which simplifies installation and allows for immediate customization with your choice of paint. Please note that because it features a hollow-core design, it does not offer the same level of sound insulation or heavy-duty impact resistance as solid-core doors, making it best suited for standard interior room applications.

FAQs

Can I trim this door to fit a smaller frame?

Yes, but you should only trim a small amount from the edges to ensure you do not breach the solid perimeter frame of the hollow core.

Does this door come with pre-cut holes for handles?

No, the door is supplied as a blank flush door, meaning you will need to cut the mortise and boreholes for your specific handle and latch hardware.

Is this door suitable for bathrooms?

Yes, provided the door is fully sealed with paint or a moisture-resistant finish on all sides, including the top and bottom.

Do I need to prime the door before painting?

The door arrives white-primed, so it is essentially ready for a topcoat, though a light sanding and a final primer layer can result in a smoother finish.

Can this door be used as an exterior door?

No, this door is strictly designed for interior residential use and is not built to withstand external weather conditions or security requirements.

Troubleshooting

Door is sticking at the top or side

Check that the hinges are properly tightened and the door is level; if the frame is square, perform light sanding on the binding edge.

Hollow sound when closing

This is a characteristic of hollow-core doors. If noise transfer is a concern, consider adding high-quality draft excluders or weather stripping to the door stop.

Pros and Cons

Pros

Clean, minimalist aesthetic that fits many decors
Lightweight and easy to install
Pre-primed surface for quick painting
Cost-effective solution for interior doors

Cons

Hollow-core construction provides minimal soundproofing
Not intended for exterior use
Lower impact resistance compared to solid wood doors

Setup, Compatibility & Care

Before installation, ensure your existing door frame measurements align with the 1982 x 840mm dimensions. Because this is a hollow-core door, you should avoid trimming excessively from the edges, as doing so may compromise the structural integrity of the frame. Always use standard door hardware (hinges and handles) appropriate for the weight of a hollow-core door.

For care, ensure the door is properly sealed with paint or a suitable wood finish on all sides, including the top and bottom edges, to prevent moisture absorption. Regular cleaning should be done with a soft, slightly damp cloth; avoid harsh chemicals that could damage the factory-primed surface.
