Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup:
- Ensure the rug is the correct size for your horse. Consult sizing charts if unsure.
- Place the rug evenly over the horse's back.
- Fasten the trigger clip chest fastenings, adjusting the buckles for a snug but comfortable fit.
- Secure the crossed belly surcingles, ensuring they are tight enough to prevent movement but not restrictive.
- Attach the removable elastic leg straps to the D-rings on the rug, adjusting for comfort.
Compatibility:
This rug is designed for turnout use. It is compatible with most standard horse tack and equipment. The 600D Ripstop fabric offers good durability for horses that may rub or interact with fencing.
Care:
- Clean the rug regularly by brushing off loose dirt and mud. A damp cloth can be used for spot cleaning.
- For deeper cleaning, follow the manufacturer's instructions, typically involving a cool or lukewarm wash cycle with a specialized rug wash. Avoid harsh detergents or fabric softeners.
- Ensure the rug is completely dry before storing it in a cool, dry place. Do not store while damp to prevent mildew.
- Check fastenings and straps periodically for wear and tear.
