FAQs

What is the primary intended use for the Delmax PerformPro XL tire?

The Delmax PerformPro XL is designed for all-season use, providing reliable performance for passenger cars, SUVs, 4x4s, vans, and trucks in a variety of everyday driving conditions.

How do I find the correct size for my vehicle?

Consult your vehicle's owner's manual or the sticker on the driver's side doorjamb. It will list the recommended tire size, load index, and speed rating.

Are these tires suitable for heavy snow or ice?

While designed for all-season versatility, they are not specialized winter tires. For severe snow and ice conditions, dedicated winter tires are recommended for optimal safety and traction.

How often should I rotate my tires?

It is generally recommended to rotate your tires every 6,000 to 8,000 miles, or as specified in your vehicle's owner's manual, to ensure even wear.

What is the warranty on Delmax tires?

Information regarding specific warranty details should be obtained from the retailer or official Delmax documentation, as it can vary.

Can the PerformPro XL be used on all types of SUVs and trucks?

Yes, the PerformPro XL is designed for a broad range of SUVs, 4x4s, vans, and trucks, provided the tire size and load/speed ratings match the vehicle's requirements.

Where are Delmax tires manufactured?

Delmax is a tire brand managed by BC Tire Australia. The tires are designed to meet international quality and safety standards for distribution worldwide.

Troubleshooting

Tire vibration or uneven ride

This can be caused by improper balance or alignment. Have the wheels balanced and alignment checked by a professional technician.

Premature or uneven tread wear

Ensure tires are properly inflated, rotated regularly, and that the vehicle's wheel alignment is correct. Uneven wear patterns can indicate specific issues like underinflation or misalignment.

Reduced fuel efficiency

Check tire inflation pressure; underinflated tires significantly increase rolling resistance. Also, ensure tires are not damaged and are properly balanced.

Poor traction in wet conditions

Verify tire tread depth is adequate. Ensure tires are properly inflated. If issues persist, it may be time to consider tire replacement or consult a professional about specific driving conditions.

Setup, Compatibility & Care

Compatibility: The Delmax PerformPro XL is designed to fit a wide range of passenger cars, SUVs, 4x4s, vans, and trucks. Always confirm the tire size and load/speed rating specified for your vehicle with your owner's manual or on the vehicle's door jamb sticker to ensure correct fitment. Common sizes include 225/50R17, 245/45R17, 225/55R18, and 205/45R17, among others.

Installation: Tires should be installed by a qualified professional tire technician. Proper mounting, balancing, and alignment are crucial for optimal performance and safety. Ensure the tire is mounted on a wheel rim of the correct diameter and width.

Care: To maximize the life and performance of your Delmax PerformPro XL tires:

  1. Maintain Proper Inflation Pressure: Check tire pressure regularly (at least once a month and before long trips) when tires are cold. Refer to your vehicle's placard for the correct pressure.
  2. Regular Rotation: Rotate tires every 6,000-8,000 miles (or as recommended by your vehicle manufacturer) to ensure even tread wear.
  3. Wheel Alignment and Balancing: Have your wheel alignment and balancing checked periodically, especially if you notice uneven wear or vibrations.
  4. Visual Inspection: Regularly inspect tires for any signs of damage, such as cuts, cracks, bulges, or embedded objects. Also, check tread depth; replace tires when the tread reaches the wear indicators.
