Setup, Compatibility & Care Instructions
Setup: Ensure the exterior wood surface is clean, dry, and free from any existing finishes, grease, or contaminants. For untreated wood, no sanding is required. If wood is weathered or has old finishes, it may need preparation.
Application: Apply DuroGrit in a single, thin, uniform layer using a brush or roller. Work in manageable sections and maintain a wet edge to avoid overlap marks. Wipe off any excess product that does not penetrate the wood within 10-15 minutes using a lint-free cloth. Allow the surface to dry for at least 24 hours before exposing it to light foot traffic or moisture.
Compatibility: DuroGrit is suitable for all exterior wood types, including hardwoods like teak and oak, and softwoods like pine and cedar. It can be used on decks, fences, garden furniture, and other outdoor wooden structures.
Care: Clean treated surfaces with a soft brush or broom. For deeper cleaning, use a mild soap and water solution, rinsing thoroughly. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners that can damage the finish. Reapplication may be necessary over time, depending on wear and exposure, following the same one-layer application method.
