Setup, Compatibility & Care
To get the best results with this muslin, pre-wash the fabric to account for any initial shrinkage, which is common with natural cottons. When cutting, because the fabric is lightweight and has an open weave, ensure your shears are sharp to avoid snagging the threads. Use a fine-point sewing needle (such as a 70/10 or 80/12 universal needle) and a standard cotton thread to maintain the fabric's soft drape. Avoid heavy interfacing unless you specifically want to change the soft character of the muslin. For maintenance, a gentle wash cycle and air drying will help preserve the integrity of the weave over time.
