Full details
The Sonicware SmplTrek is a portable, hand-held sampler with powerful features, originally launched on Kickstarter. It allows for one-touch sampling from various inputs, including a built-in microphone, external inputs, and USB-connected devices. The device includes an internal sequencer, built-in effects, and resampling capabilities. Version 1.3 enhances drum tracks. You can easily sample sounds using the built-in microphone, connect a microphone or electric guitar to the input, or sample from a USB-connected smartphone or PC/Mac. You can even apply insert effects during sampling, such as Distortion for electric guitar or Compressor for vocals. Sampled sounds can be quickly assigned to pads with auto-slicing, and can also be used with an external source. The SmplTrek features a hardware-based mini-DAW with a sequencer, sample-engine, and built-in microphone, making it ideal for creative production on the go. While compact, it houses significant potential. You can load pre-loaded sounds or add your own custom samples. The integrated microphone allows for capturing unique sounds from your environment. Line up samples using the intuitive sequencer, combine them with external sources, connect a guitar, or use MIDI gear via the rear panel ports.
