Setup, Compatibility & Care Instructions
Compatibility Check: Before purchase, confirm your vehicle uses the R1234yf refrigerant. Check under the bonnet for labels or consult your vehicle manual. You must also be able to identify the low-side filling port. This kit is not compatible with R134a systems.
Safety Precautions: Always wear safety goggles and gloves when working on AC systems. Never wear loose clothing around a running engine.
Setup: Ensure the vehicle's engine and AC compressor are running and switched on.
- Attach the professional hose with gauge to the R1234yf low-side filling port.
- If using the leak sealer, attach the leak sealer can to the hose and deploy its contents. Observe the compressor cycles and use the gauge to check pressure. Allow the pressure to sit over an extended period to check if it holds.
- If the system holds pressure and requires a full recharge, attach the main refrigerant can to the hose.
- Deploy the contents until the gauge indicates the correct pressure level for your vehicle. Refer to vehicle data or use the gauge to ensure the correct fill.
- Once a can is attached to the hose, it must not be detached until empty, as it may not self-seal and could still contain pressure.
Care: The professional hose and gauge are reusable. Store them in a clean, dry place. Cans have a 1/2 inch coarse right-hand ACME thread and work with the supplied hose.
Important Note: Do not vacuum the AC system before use. Do not try to force the hose onto an R134a fitting.
