FAQs
Is the Nike Air Max 97 Ultra '17 true to size?
Generally, yes, but due to the sleek and slim design, individuals with wider feet often find more comfort sizing up by half a size.
Can these be used for running?
These are primarily designed as lifestyle trainers. While comfortable, they do not offer the specialized support needed for long-distance running.
How do I clean the white midsole?
Use a specialized sneaker cleaner or a mild mixture of water and soap applied with a soft-bristled brush to remove dirt and scuffs.
Does the full-length Air unit make the shoe heavy?
No, the 'Ultra' version is specifically engineered to be lighter than the original 97 design, making it feel less bulky on the foot.
Are these shoes suitable for wet weather?
The materials are not waterproof. It is best to avoid heavy rain to maintain the integrity of the fabric and prevent moisture buildup inside the Air unit area.
Troubleshooting
Creasing on the upper material
Use shoe trees when not wearing the trainers to help maintain the original shape and minimize fabric folds.
Difficulty putting on the shoe
Loosen the laces significantly from the bottom eyelets upward before inserting your foot to prevent undue stress on the heel tab.

Setup, Compatibility & Care
To ensure your Air Max 97s maintain their appearance and structure, adhere to the following:
- Sizing: Given the slim profile of the Ultra '17, verify your size against standard Nike charts. If you prefer extra room, consider a half-size increase.
- Cleaning: Spot clean the upper with a soft cloth and mild soap. Avoid submerging the shoes in water, as this can degrade internal adhesives.
- Maintenance: Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight to prevent the midsole from yellowing or the materials from becoming brittle.
- Usage: Rotate your footwear to allow the internal cushioning unit to decompress between wears.
