The Ulanzi SL01 Mini Camera Flash is a versatile and compact lighting solution designed for photographers who need portable, reliable illumination for travel, events, or casual shooting. Featuring a guide number of GN8 and a daylight-balanced 6500K color temperature, it provides crisp, natural-looking light to elevate your photos in low-light environments. While it offers excellent portability and wide camera compatibility, users should note that as a manual-only flash, it lacks TTL automatic metering and should be handled with care to avoid direct exposure to eyes or moisture.

Yes, the single-contact hot shoe design is compatible with Sony cameras, provided the hot shoe is a standard accessory type.
No, the Ulanzi SL01 is a manual flash and does not support TTL automatic metering.
The SL01 produces light at 6500K, which is a bright, daylight-balanced color temperature.
The flash is designed to be mounted on a camera hot shoe, though it can be used off-camera if you have a compatible sync cable or trigger.
There are physical controls on the unit allowing you to toggle between four power settings ranging from 1/8 to 1/1.
No, the SL01 is not weather-sealed and should be kept away from rain, water, and extreme moisture.
Ensure the flash is fully seated in the hot shoe and verify your camera is set to a manual mode that allows external flash synchronization.
Adjust the four power levels on the back of the flash or modify your camera's ISO/aperture settings to compensate for the light output.
To set up the SL01, ensure your camera is turned off before sliding the flash into the hot shoe mount. Once in place, tighten the locking mechanism to secure it. Since it uses a universal single-contact pin, you may need to set your camera to "Manual" mode to sync the shutter with the flash burst properly.
Regarding care, always ensure the flash is protected from direct water contact and extreme heat, as internal components are sensitive to humidity and thermal stress. The unit should not be fired directly toward a subject's eyes to prevent discomfort. Keep the flash unit in a dry place when not in use to extend the lifespan of the electronics.
