Setup, Compatibility & Care
To get the best performance, rake your chosen patch to a fine tilth to ensure good soil-to-seed contact. If sowing outdoors between April and May, plant seeds at a depth of 1cm (½ inch) and ensure they are covered, as they require darkness to germinate effectively.
- Sunlight: Full sun is mandatory for best results.
- Soil: Requires well-drained soil; if your soil is heavy clay, add grit or organic matter to improve drainage.
- Indoor Care: If starting indoors from March to April, maintain a consistent temperature between 20-25°C to encourage healthy root development before transplanting after the risk of frost has passed.
