Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup: Ensure the belt sander is unplugged before attempting to change the sanding belt. Loosen the tensioning knob or lever to release the old belt. Place the new 76 x 457mm belt onto the rollers, ensuring the abrasive side is facing outwards. Apply tension using the knob or lever until the belt is snug and runs true. Briefly run the sander to check alignment and tension before proceeding with use.
Compatibility: These belts are specifically designed for use with belt sanders requiring 76 x 457mm (3 x 18 inch) belts. They are stated to be suitable for Sealey Model No. CP20VBS Belt Sander and other leading brands. Always check the dimensions and type of belt required by your specific belt sander model before purchasing.
Care: To maximize the life of your sanding belts, avoid applying excessive pressure, which can overload the abrasive and cause premature wear. Keep the belts clean by brushing away dust and debris after each use. Store belts in a dry environment to prevent damage to the backing material. For best results, use the appropriate grit for the task; using a fine grit for heavy material removal will shorten its lifespan.
