Setup, Compatibility & Care
To install, first measure the existing line to determine the required diameter and length. Cut the hose cleanly using a sharp utility knife or hose cutter to ensure a flush end. Slide the A2 stainless steel clamp onto the hose before pushing it over the fuel or oil spigot. Tighten the clamp until firm, but avoid over-tightening, which could cause the clamp to bite into the rubber outer layer.
To maintain the hose, perform regular visual inspections during oil changes or seasonal maintenance. Look for signs of surface cracking or swelling. Since the material is ozone and weather-resistant, it should remain pliable under normal conditions, but avoid contact with battery acid or other corrosive chemicals which could shorten its lifespan.
