Setup, Compatibility & Care
There is no complex setup required for this turner; simply rinse it with warm, soapy water before its first use. It is compatible with all types of cookware, including ceramic, Teflon, and other non-stick surfaces, as well as stainless steel and cast iron. To ensure the longest life for your turner, follow these care instructions:
- Hand Wash Only: Never submerge the wooden handle in a dishwasher, as the high heat and moisture will cause the wood to warp or splinter.
- Immediate Drying: After washing, wipe the wooden handle dry with a cloth rather than letting it air dry in a pool of water.
- Occasional Oiling: If the wood handle appears dry, you can apply a food-safe mineral oil to keep it conditioned and smooth.
- Heat Exposure: While heat-resistant, avoid leaving the turner resting directly on the edge of a hot pan for extended periods to prevent thermal stress.
