Product Information

Full details

The Faithfull Brick Line is designed for builders and DIY enthusiasts needing a reliable guide for laying bricks, blocks, or stones. Its key benefit is the easy deployment and secure anchoring provided by the rotating spool with an earth spike, ensuring a straight and consistent line. A potential caveat is that the spike is designed for soft ground, and may require additional support on harder surfaces. This product features a durable 75m polymer line on a convenient, easy-to-handle spool.

FAQs

What is the main purpose of the Faithfull Brick Line?

Its main purpose is to provide a straight, level guideline for laying bricks, blocks, or other masonry, ensuring consistency in construction.

How long is the brick line?

The Faithfull Brick Line is 75 meters long.

What type of ground is best for using the integrated spike?

The integrated spike is designed for soft earth or soil. It may not be effective on hard, compacted, or rocky surfaces.

What is the breaking strength of the line?

The line has a breaking strength of 12kg.

Can this line be used for outdoor landscaping projects?

Yes, the line can be used for various outdoor projects, such as marking out straight edges for gardens, paths, or patios, by anchoring the spike into the soil.

How should I store the brick line?

It is best to store the brick line on its spool in a clean, dry location to protect it from the elements and prevent tangling.

Is the line weather-resistant?

The polymer construction generally offers good resistance to outdoor conditions, but prolonged exposure to harsh weather may affect its longevity.

Troubleshooting

Spike won't anchor securely in the ground.

Ensure the ground is sufficiently soft. If the ground is too hard, use an alternative method to anchor the line, such as a separate stake or a temporary clamp.

Line is tangled.

Carefully unwind the tangled section, ensuring not to force it. Rewind the line neatly onto the spool, paying attention to tension.

Line appears weak or frayed.

Inspect the entire length of the line for damage. If any part is compromised, the line should be replaced to ensure safety and accuracy.

Pros and Cons

Pros

  • Convenient all-in-one design with integrated handle and spike.
  • Generous 75m line length suitable for various projects.
  • Durable polymer construction for longevity.
  • Easy to deploy and secure in soft ground conditions.

Cons

  • Spike may not be effective on hard or rocky ground.
  • Breaking strength of 12kg may be insufficient for heavy-duty applications.
  • Line can tangle if not handled carefully during deployment/retrieval.

Setup, Compatibility & Care Instructions

Setup:

  1. Identify a suitable location to anchor one end of the line. Push the integrated spike firmly into soft earth or soil.
  2. Unspool the orange polymer line to the desired length, ensuring it is taut and aligned with your project.
  3. Secure the other end of the line using an appropriate temporary anchor point.

Compatibility:

  • The primary compatibility is with soft ground or soil for anchoring the spike.
  • For harder surfaces, consider using additional stakes or clamps to secure the line.
  • Suitable for use with bricks, blocks, paving stones, and other similar construction materials.

Care:

  • After use, carefully wind the line back onto the spool to prevent tangling.
  • Store in a clean, dry place.
  • Periodically check the line for any signs of wear or damage. Replace if compromised.
