Yes, the Elementech 400 coating provides excellent anti-corrosive protection, lasting up to 6 times longer than standard zinc coatings.
These are designed for Pozi bits. While they may appear similar to Phillips, using a Phillips bit can lead to cam-out and damage to the screw head.
The pack is designed as a comprehensive collection, but please check your specific delivery to see if it includes a compartmented organizer case.
The largest size included is 5.0 x 100mm, with 100 pieces provided.
Yes, they are free from Cr6+ (Hexavalent Chromium), making them an environmentally friendly choice for construction projects.
Ensure the correct driver bit is seated fully and check if the wood has been over-bored; if so, move the screw to a fresh position.
Verify that the torque setting on your drill is not set too high and confirm you are not driving into an overly dense knot or metal surface thicker than 0.8mm.
Although the thread design mitigates this, use a smaller pilot hole when working with brittle or thin timber sections.
To ensure optimal performance, always use a Pozi-compatible driver bit that matches the screw size. While the screws are designed to be self-drilling in many applications, using a correctly sized pilot hole is recommended when working near the edges of hardwood to prevent splitting. Store the screws in a dry area to preserve the integrity of the anti-corrosive coating. While highly resistant to environmental degradation, avoid using these screws in highly acidic or marine-grade environments where stainless steel would typically be required.
