FAQs
What size is this ball?
This is a standard size 5 football, which is the official size used for professional and adult play.
Can I use this ball on concrete?
While it can be used on various surfaces, playing on concrete or asphalt will cause the outer cover to wear out much faster than on grass or turf.
Does it come with a pump?
No, the ball is sold as a standalone item and does not include an inflation pump or needle.
How often should I inflate the ball?
Thanks to the butyl bladder, it retains air well, but you should check the pressure before every use to ensure optimal performance.
Is this ball machine washable?
No, do not put the ball in a washing machine. Clean it manually with a damp cloth and mild soap if necessary.
Troubleshooting
Ball loses air rapidly
Ensure the inflation needle was inserted correctly and not at an angle; apply a drop of silicone oil or water to the needle to protect the valve.
Ball feels too hard or bounces erratically
Check the internal pressure with a gauge; deflate slightly to meet the recommended PSI specifications for a more responsive touch.
Pros and Cons
Pros
- High-quality machine-stitched construction for durability
- Excellent air retention due to the butyl bladder
- Stylish design featuring official club branding
- Soft touch suitable for players of all skill levels
Cons
- Not intended for professional-level league matches
- Surface can scuff if used on abrasive concrete or gravel
- Requires an external pump for initial inflation
Setup, Compatibility & Care
- Inflation: The ball arrives partially deflated. Use a standard ball pump with a lubricated needle to inflate to the manufacturer's recommended pressure (usually 0.5 to 0.8 bar/7-11 psi).
- Compatibility: Ideal for players using size 5 footballs, generally suitable for adults and youth players aged 12 and up.
- Care Instructions: After playing in wet or muddy conditions, wipe the ball down with a damp cloth and allow it to air dry away from direct heat sources. Avoid leaving the ball in extremely hot environments, like the trunk of a car, to preserve the integrity of the bladder and stitching.
