Setup, Compatibility & Care
To enjoy your WoodWick candle:
- First Burn: Allow the wax to melt evenly across the entire surface of the candle up to the edges. This prevents tunneling and ensures a full burn.
- Wick Maintenance: Before each use, trim the wooden wick to about 1/4 inch. If the wick is too long, it may cause excessive flame or soot. If it's too short, it might extinguish. Ensure the wick is centered.
- Placement: Position the candle on a stable, heat-resistant surface away from drafts, flammable materials, children, and pets.
- Extinguishing: Use a candle snuffer or gently dip the wick into the melted wax pool with a tool to extinguish the flame, then straighten the wick. Avoid blowing out the flame, as this can cause soot.
- Cleaning: Keep the wax pool free of debris. Wipe the exterior of the vessel with a soft, damp cloth if necessary once the candle has cooled and solidified.
