The Sealey 50mm Radiator Paint Brush (SPBR50) is specifically engineered for professional painters and DIY enthusiasts who need to tackle hard-to-reach areas behind radiators and narrow gaps. Its primary benefit is the precision-angled head that allows for smooth application without the need to dismantle heating fixtures, though users should note that the 50mm width is optimized for medium-sized coverage rather than fine detailing work.

Yes, the synthetic filaments are compatible with both water-based and oil-based paints.
While it is designed for radiators, the 50mm size and angled head make it quite effective for cutting in along skirting boards and window frames.
Store in a dry area, preferably hanging by the handle to keep the bristles straight and protected from compression.
The beech handle is polished, providing a degree of moisture resistance, but it should not be submerged in water for extended periods.
The brush utilizes heat-treated synthetic filaments designed for durability and a smooth finish.
Ensure the brush has been properly conditioned before use and avoid using harsh solvents that might degrade the epoxy binding in the ferrule.
Apply less pressure and ensure the brush is not overloaded with paint; thin, even coats generally yield a smoother finish.
Thoroughly clean the brush immediately after use and use a brush comb to realign the filaments while drying.
To ensure the longevity of your SPBR50, proper maintenance is essential. Before the first use, gently flick the bristles to remove any loose factory dust. When switching between paint types, ensure the brush is completely cleaned and dried. For cleanup, wash the brush according to the instructions on your paint container—using warm soapy water for water-based paints or the appropriate solvent for oil-based paints. Always hang the brush by the handle hole after cleaning to allow the bristles to air dry in their natural shape, preventing them from splaying. Do not store the brush resting on its bristles, as this will permanently deform the filament profile.
