FAQs

How do these earplugs work?

The EarHub Flywell earplugs feature an innovative pressure-regulating design that helps to equalize the air pressure in your ear canal with the surrounding atmosphere, reducing discomfort caused by pressure changes.

Are these suitable for sleeping on a plane?

While designed for pressure regulation, their primary function is to manage pressure changes. For noise reduction during sleep, a different type of earplug might be more suitable. However, they can be worn during sleep if pressure comfort is a concern.

How often should I replace the earplugs?

These earplugs are made from durable medical-grade silicone and are reusable. With proper care and cleaning, they can last for numerous trips. Inspect them regularly for any signs of wear or damage.

Can I use these if I have sensitive ears?

The earplugs are made from medical-grade silicone for comfort. However, if you have particularly sensitive ears or a history of ear problems, it's advisable to consult with a healthcare professional before use.

What is the difference between these and regular earplugs?

Regular earplugs primarily aim to block out noise. EarHub Flywell earplugs focus on regulating air pressure to prevent discomfort during altitude changes, in addition to offering some noise reduction.

How do I clean the earplugs properly?

Clean them with mild soap and water. Rinse them thoroughly and allow them to air dry completely before storing them in their case. Avoid using harsh chemicals.

What should I do if I experience pain while wearing them?

You should discontinue use immediately and consult a doctor if pain or persistent discomfort occurs.

Troubleshooting

Earplugs do not seem to be reducing pressure effects.

Ensure the earplugs are inserted correctly and form a good seal in the ear canal. Re-read the insertion instructions. If discomfort persists, discontinue use and consult a doctor.

Difficulty inserting or removing the earplugs.

Moisten the earplug tip slightly with water. Insert and remove gently using a twisting motion. Avoid forcing them into the ear canal.

Earplugs feel uncomfortable after prolonged use.

Ensure you are not inserting them too deeply. Try adjusting the fit. If irritation occurs, take a break from wearing them. Ensure they are clean.

Carry case is lost or damaged.

Contact the manufacturer or retailer for replacement options. In the interim, store earplugs in a clean, protective container to prevent damage or loss.
