Setup, Compatibility & Care
To install this propeller, ensure the engine is completely powered down and the ignition key is removed. Slide the unit onto the 19-spline shaft, ensuring the splines are greased with marine-grade anti-seize lubricant to prevent future binding. Tighten the prop nut to the manufacturer's specified torque settings.
Care Instructions:
- Periodically inspect the blades for nicks or bends; a damaged blade can cause vibration and damage the drive shaft seals.
- Rinse the propeller with fresh water after use in saltwater environments to prevent aluminum corrosion.
- Regularly check the rubber hub for signs of deterioration or spinning, which can result in a loss of thrust.
