Yes, you can use Tamiya X-26 Clear Orange with other acrylic paints. However, it's recommended to use Tamiya acrylic thinners and primers for best results.
Typically, two to three thin coats are recommended to achieve the desired effect. The number of coats may vary depending on the surface and the desired level of transparency.
Use Tamiya X-20A Acrylic Thinner for optimal results when airbrushing.
The paint typically dries to the touch within 15-30 minutes, but it is recommended to wait at least an hour between coats.
While it can be used on some metal surfaces, it's best to prime the metal first with a suitable primer for acrylic paints to ensure good adhesion.
Store the paint in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and heat. Ensure the cap is tightly sealed to prevent the paint from drying out.
Apply thinner coats and allow each coat to dry completely. Ensure the surface is clean and free of dust or oils.
Apply thinner coats and avoid applying too much paint at once. Adjust air pressure when airbrushing.
Ensure the surface is properly prepared, clean, and primed (if necessary). Lightly sand glossy surfaces to improve adhesion.
