FAQs
What type of surfaces can I use the SuctionLoc system on?
The SuctionLoc system works best on smooth, non-porous surfaces such as tiles, glass, and mirrors. It requires a surface where a perfect vacuum can be created.
Can I mount this on my shower wall or textured tiles?
Generally, no. Textured surfaces, wall panels, or showerwalls often prevent the creation of a perfect vacuum needed for the SuctionLoc system. For these surfaces, Adhesive Mounting Discs are recommended and sold separately.
How do I know when to re-apply the accessory?
The SuctionLoc system features a red line indicator. When this red line appears, it signifies that the vacuum may be weakening and it's time to detach, clean, and re-apply the accessory for maximum holding power.
Do I need any tools to install these accessories?
No, installation is tool-free. Simply position the accessory and press the central SuctionLoc button to create a vacuum seal.
How do I clean the SuctionLoc accessories?
Clean them with a damp cloth and mild soap. Avoid using abrasive cleaners that could damage the suction mechanism or the finish.
What are the dimensions of the Toilet Roll Holder and Towel Ring?
The Toilet Roll Holder measures 12cm x 16.5cm x 9cm. The Towel Ring measures 22cm x 16cm x 2cm.
Is the red color of the accessory permanent?
The product description indicates a 'Red' colour family, suggesting the primary colour of the accessory itself is red. The 'red line indicator' is a functional part of the suction mechanism, not a decorative colour feature.
Troubleshooting
Accessory falls off the wall
The surface may not be smooth, clean, or dry enough. Clean both the suction cup and the wall thoroughly, ensure it is completely dry, and re-apply with firm pressure on the button. Check for any small particles or air gaps around the suction cup.
Red indicator line is always visible
This could indicate a poor seal or that the seal has weakened. Re-clean the surface and suction cup, ensuring no residual moisture or dirt is present, and re-apply.
Accessory won't stick at all
The surface might be incompatible (e.g., textured, porous). Try a different location on a smoother, shinier surface like glass or a glossy tile. If no suitable surface is available, consider using an Adhesive Mounting Disc.
Suction cup feels stiff or brittle
This can happen over time, especially with exposure to extreme temperatures or cleaning chemicals. While not easily fixable, ensuring regular re-application as per the red line indicator can help maintain performance. Consider replacement if the material degrades significantly.
