Product Information

Full details

The Hauck Alpha Highchair Bundle is an ideal seating solution for families seeking a long-term investment that transitions from newborn through adulthood. Its modular design allows it to grow with your child, providing a secure, elevated space for infants using the included bouncer attachment, while adapting to the needs of older children and adults. While the wooden construction provides exceptional stability and durability, the bundle does require assembly and occupies a larger footprint than foldable plastic alternatives.

FAQs

Can adults really sit in this highchair?

Yes, the chair is load-tested and designed to support weights typical of adult users, provided the seat and footrest are adjusted to the appropriate settings.

How do I switch from the bouncer to the highchair seat?

Remove the bouncer attachment from the top of the highchair frame, then secure the seat reducer and bumper bar as specified in the transition manual.

Is the tray dishwasher safe?

The tray is designed to be wiped clean with a damp cloth; we recommend against putting it in the dishwasher to prevent potential warping of the material.

Does the chair come with a warranty?

Hauck provides a standard manufacturer's warranty on the Alpha+ bundle; please retain your proof of purchase and check the official Hauck website for specific local terms.

Are the seat cushions machine washable?

Yes, the padded inserts are removable and typically machine washable on a delicate cycle, though air-drying is recommended to maintain shape.

Troubleshooting

Wobbling after assembly

Ensure all structural bolts are tightened uniformly and check that the chair is placed on a completely flat surface.

Harness feels too tight

Adjust the strap length using the sliders on the 5-point harness system; ensure the harness is snug but allows for two fingers of space between the child and the strap.

Tray is difficult to attach

Ensure the side rails are aligned correctly and check for any debris or food residue in the click-on mechanism slots.

Pros and Cons

Pros

  • Extremely durable wooden construction
  • Versatile use from birth up to 99 years
  • Keeps newborns at dining table height
  • Highly adjustable seat and footrest positions
  • Includes all necessary safety inserts and harnesses

Cons

  • Requires manual assembly of the wooden frame
  • Larger footprint compared to portable plastic highchairs
  • Not intended for frequent folding or transport

Setup, Compatibility & Care

To set up the Hauck Alpha, ensure all wooden panels are securely fastened according to the provided manual. For the newborn stage, slot the bouncer into the designated top mounting points of the chair. When transitioning to the highchair phase, remove the bouncer and secure the seat reducer and 5-point harness. Maintenance is straightforward: wipe the wooden surfaces with a damp cloth and mild soap. The fabric inserts are generally machine washable on a gentle cycle, but always check the care labels before cleaning to preserve the padding integrity.
