Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup
- Measure the internal width of your truck or trailer to ensure it falls within the 2260-2642 mm range.
- Release the ratchet locking mechanism and extend the bar to the approximate width of the trailer.
- Position the bar against the cargo.
- Tighten the ratchet handle until the rubber pads are firmly pressed against the trailer walls.
- Verify that the bar is level and the pads are sitting flush against the vertical surfaces.
Compatibility
These bars are designed primarily for trailers, semi-trailers, and trucks with reinforced interior side walls capable of withstanding the lateral pressure exerted by the bars.
Care
- Regularly inspect the rubber pads for debris or heavy wear; clean them with a damp cloth to restore grip.
- Keep the ratchet assembly clear of road grime and debris.
- Periodically inspect the galvanized coating for scratches and touch up with rust-inhibiting spray if necessary.
